Empowering Bajhangi Communities

Bajhang is a remote Himalayan district located in the Far Western Region of Nepal. The Bajhangi Samaj is a common organization of all Bajhangi’s who have come to Kathmandu and are residing there permanently or temporarily. This organization was established in 2056 B.S. as a purely non-political, non-religious, and non-profit organization. It has been serving as a common platform for sharing joys and sorrows for the people of Bajhang district who come to Kathmandu for various purposes such as work, business, profession, or other specific tasks, either residing there permanently or temporarily. The organization has been working continuously to identify the religious, cultural, and touristic areas of Bajhang district and take initiatives for their development by collaborating and coordinating with various governmental and non-governmental organizations for the development of Bajhang district and the welfare of Bajhangi’s.

With the aim of uniting all Bajhangi’s, this organization has been continuing the tradition of celebrating cultural festivals like Bishu Parva, Gaura Parva, Bhue, Deusi Bhailo, Maghi, etc., to preserve the cultural traditions celebrated in Bajhang district, promote love, affection, and goodwill among each other, and exchange greetings and good wishes. Additionally, it has been engaged in social work, auspicious events, mutual assistance during emergencies and disasters, relief work, coordination and cooperation, and humanitarian service activities, which will continue in the days to come.
